Road Steel Shares Road Safety Innovation at the AEC Technical Conference
At Road Steel, we take pride in sharing our extensive experience and deep expertise in the field of road safety whenever we can, because we know that improving the safety of road networks is a task that involves many different stakeholders.
For this reason, last week Diego Santiago González, Director of Road Steel Engineering, our engineering division, attended the AEC Technical Conference, an event organized by the Spanish Road Association (SRA) that brought together public administrations and companies in Zaragoza to discuss technical and public-private management aspects of the global road network.
The presentation, under the Road Steel banner, focused on how road safety innovation applied to engineering can solve real and complex challenges.
The behavior of a passive safety light pole located within the working width under impact conditions was analyzed in accordance with OC 35/2014 regulations. The presentation also examined how an impact affects the combination of a curb and a vehicle restraint system, and introduced the Tubrail and Recorail systems, two developments that integrate optimized design, sustainability, and optimal functionality for complex environments where safety and aesthetics must be combined within limited spaces.
The presentation conveyed to the audience how each of the solutions developed by Road Steel responds to the same principle: adapting technology and regulations to real-world scenarios in order to meet the most demanding standards and improve road safety through innovation.
At Road Steel, we would like to thank the AEC for creating this platform where companies and public administrations can exchange knowledge and perspectives to build safer and more sustainable infrastructure.
