We Attended the Presentation of Uniovi eTech Racing’s New Racing Car

Cases in which resilience and overcoming major challenges take center stage are not easy to find. In many situations, a single failure is enough for a project to be abandoned.

However, the Uniovi eTech Racing team has shown that stories built on self-improvement can be the most inspiring. They managed to overcome the difficulties that prevented them from competing last year and spent the entire year rebuilding their strength. As a result, their efforts have been transformed into a new electric racing vehicle that far surpasses what the previous single-seater would have been, finally marking the beginning that could not take place last year with the unveiling of Habrock EVO.

To witness this great achievement firsthand, on July 22 a delegation from Road Steel attended the Gijón Polytechnic School of Engineering to take part in the Habrock Roll Out and hear directly about the journey that led to this point over the course of the last 12 months. Given the significance of the event, it was also attended by the Rector of the University of Oviedo, representatives of the Gijón City Council, and the Gijón Polytechnic School of Engineering.

The new single-seater, which will compete from August 1 to 7 at the Montmeló Circuit, surpasses in every aspect what last year’s car would have been. It features battery improvements, optimized materials, and is the result of a more coordinated development process, providing both the team and us with an electric racing car that will undoubtedly achieve great success.
